A bunker is usually a low, open refrigerated display that shoppers can grab products from while walking by. Unlike the main home location, a bunker is often placed in the middle of an aisle, at the end of a section, or in a high traffic area to attract attention.
Look for these clues:
- The product is in a separate refrigerated display, not in the main cooler doors
- Shoppers can see and grab products from the top or front of the display
- It is often used as a secondary placement to encourage additional purchases
- The display may contain Dally alongside other refrigerated snack products
TIP: If a shopper walking through the department would think, "Oh, here's a separate refrigerated display," you're probably looking at the bunker. If it is inside the regular refrigerated shelf set, you're probably looking at the home location.
