Before reporting “No Product Found,” a full physical backroom inspection is required. This means actively searching, not just taking photos of visible areas.
What You Must Do:
Physically inspect the entire backroom. Some Boxes are not marked for immediate visibility
Products may not always display a code.
Inventory may appear as: Branded outer boxes.
Unlabeled boxes with branded contents inside individual units removed from original packaging.
Confirm by brand, not just labeling.
Check both the outside of the box and the individual units inside.
Search regardless of organization. Backrooms may be disorganized or mixed with other brands.
Check high shelves, low shelves, behind other products, and storage corners.
Do not assume a product is not present because it is not immediately visible.
If we see it in your pictures, you will be sent back, so it's best practice to look the first time!
No Product Found after:
- All boxes and storage areas have been physically checked.
- Brand verification has been completed on boxes and/or individual units.
- No matching product is found anywhere in the backroom
Document All Findings with valid comments.
→ If no product is found, explain clearly what was checked.
→ If product is found but not restocked, explain why.
Why Following These Steps?
→ Missing photos or comments automatically triggers send backs.
Incorrect backroom searches or incomplete checks may result in send backs or invalidate the visit.
Clear photos and comments allow the team to: Confirm whether a revisit is required
Avoid unnecessary follow-ups.
Bottom line: Proper photos, accurate searches, and clear comments ensure the visit is validated, reduce send backs, and keep projects compliant and on schedule.
