Every store is a little different, and you may run into setups where the first placement doesn’t work. That’s okay, the goal is to get the sign installed in one of the approved spots.
Start with the main placement shown in your instructions. If that location doesn’t work (blocked, wrong surface, no space, plastic shelves..), move to the next approved option.
If none of the standard placements work, you still have acceptable backup options. You can place the sign in a dry section like the cereal aisle, or use the nearest metallic shelf or freezer door. These are all approved and included so you can still complete the install. The key here is to also detail your notes on why you had to go with alternate placements
A common issue is plastic shelving in refrigerated sections (like bacon coolers). If the sign won’t attach there, don’t stop, look for the closest metal surface or freezer door and place it there instead. There should always be a way to install the sign using one of these options.
