Main brand (the client’s brand): Count by SKU Using the shelf tag
Find the price tag/SKU
Start at that tag and count only the facings above the tag, moving to the RIGHT until the next tag/label
Do NOT count any units sitting to the left of the tag, that's spill over, even if its the same product. We want to count only the facings at the tag and to the right until the next tag as that is the space purchased for client product.
Competitor brands: Count by BRAND - All facings together
Add up every facing for that brand on the shelf, no need to focus on the flavors or SKUs.
Here is an example photo, where the Competitor brand "Costa" has a total of 8 facings and "rio has 2 facings

Do NOT split competitors by flavor or SKU. With competitors, you’re capturing how much total shelf space they own.
