How to Count Out of Stock Items (SKUs)
SKU stands for Stock keeping Unit A unique code or identifier used to track a specific product, including its size, flavor, or variation.
✅ Count as Out of Stock:
The shelf is completely empty — only a price tag is present
The product on the shelf doesn’t match the price tag (wrong flavor or size)
❌ Do NOT Count as Out of Stock:
The item is partially restocked or has some units left
If there is any product found on the shelf or display that is a Not Fully Stocked SKU. Do not list as an OOS
What’s a Not Fully Stocked SKU?
If the shelf/display still isn’t full after restocking, count it as Not Fully Stocked, but only once per flavor/SKU.
✅ No need to count how many units are missing. Units are the quantity behind the facings
Quick Tip:
Always count SKUs by flavor or type, not by individual bottles or how much space is empty.
